Jesus Cleanses the Temple

In Mark 11:15-19, Jesus arrives at the Temple in Jerusalem and discovers that it has turned into a commercial marketplace. Merchants are selling animals for sacrifices, and money changers are conducting their business as usual.
Jesus becomes angered by this misuse of the Temple and drives out the merchants and money changers. He overturns their tables and states, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it a den of robbers."
As Jesus teaches the crowd, the chief priests and scribes become outraged and begin seeking a way to kill him, fearing his growing influence over the people. Join me as we explore the three different areas of the Temple and learn more about the quote that Jesus mentioned.

Jesus Curses The Fig Tree

Jesus and his disciples have left the small town of Bethany, which is known as the House of Figs. Feeling hungry, Jesus noticed a fig tree but found it barren, with no fruit on it. In his frustration, he cursed the tree. In our Bible study today, we will explore the significance of the fig tree and examine various instances in the Bible where fig trees are mentioned. We will also discuss how God uses the fig tree as a symbol to represent Israel.
Study Questions:(ask yourself)
Are you hiding anything behind the fig leaves?
Are you producing good fruit?
If Jesus examined your tree, what would he find fruit or leaves?
What is the Holy Spirit saying right now?

The Triumphal Entry

Two disciples went to Bethphage to retrieve a colt for Jesus. They could never have imagined what would happen next. Jesus entered Jerusalem, and the crowd rejoiced, praising Him for who He truly is—the Messiah. They shouted, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!” But that’s not all. Join me for Bible Study and invite a friend!
