The Syrophoenician Woman's Faith

In Mark 7:24-30, Jesus is in the Hellenistic Gentile region of Tyre and Sidon.  The Syrophoenician woman had heard the stories about Jesus being a healer and was determined to find him. This was her big opportunity.  Her daughter was possessed with an unclean spirit. She wouldn’t give up as she asked people around the town if they knew where Jesus was staying. Meanwhile, Jesus tried to avoid being noticed as he entered a home, but when he sat down, a woman fell at his feet, desperately in need.Join me for Bible Study to see what happened next and what we can learn from the discussion between Jesus and the Syrophoenician woman. 

What Defiles a Person

After Jesus corrected the Pharisees about some of their traditions and told them that they were not following the commandments of God, He gathered the people and began to explain what defiles a person. I am always eager to learn, and this study helped me gain a better understanding of the responsibilities of the Twelve Apostles during Jesus' time, as well as the role that the Apostles play in today's church.

The Giver And The Gift
