My Bible Life Podcast: Mark 12:18-27 - The Sadducees and Resurrection
In this episode, we explore Mark 12:18-27; the Sadducees challenge Jesus with a question about the resurrection. Jesus corrects their misunderstanding, explaining that people will be like angels in the resurrection and not marry. He affirms the resurrection by referencing God's declaration when He said to Moses, "I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob," showing God is of the living and not the God of the dead.

The religious leaders have gathered around Jesus in the temple while he teaches the crowd. They did not come to listen to his teachings; rather, they came to challenge the authority by which he taught, healed, and performed mighty miracles. This included his recent act of driving people out of the temple. Join me for another Bible study adventure as we walk with Jesus during Passover Week.

In Mark 11:15-19, Jesus arrives at the Temple in Jerusalem and discovers that it has turned into a commercial marketplace. Merchants are selling animals for sacrifices, and money changers are conducting their business as usual.
Jesus becomes angered by this misuse of the Temple and drives out the merchants and money changers. He overturns their tables and states, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it a den of robbers."
As Jesus teaches the crowd, the chief priests and scribes become outraged and begin seeking a way to kill him, fearing his growing influence over the people. Join me as we explore the three different areas of the Temple and learn more about the quote that Jesus mentioned.

Jesus and his disciples have left the small town of Bethany, which is known as the House of Figs. Feeling hungry, Jesus noticed a fig tree but found it barren, with no fruit on it. In his frustration, he cursed the tree. In our Bible study today, we will explore the significance of the fig tree and examine various instances in the Bible where fig trees are mentioned. We will also discuss how God uses the fig tree as a symbol to represent Israel.
Study Questions:(ask yourself)
Are you hiding anything behind the fig leaves?
Are you producing good fruit?
If Jesus examined your tree, what would he find fruit or leaves?
What is the Holy Spirit saying right now?

Two disciples went to Bethphage to retrieve a colt for Jesus. They could never have imagined what would happen next. Jesus entered Jerusalem, and the crowd rejoiced, praising Him for who He truly is—the Messiah. They shouted, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!” But that’s not all. Join me for Bible Study and invite a friend!
