Mocked but Still King | Mark 15:16–20

In Mark 15:16–20, Roman soldiers gather to mock Jesus, dressing Him in purple, placing a crown of thorns on His head, and bowing in cruel sarcasm. What they meant for humiliation was actually the revealing of a greater truth: Jesus is still King.

In this verse-by-verse Bible study, we explore the historical reality of Roman mockery, the prophecy fulfilled in Christ’s suffering, and what it means for believers to endure ridicule without losing obedience.

This episode is part of a verse-by-verse journey through the Gospel of Mark.

Thank you Lord for sending your Son Jesus for wearing the crown of thorn for me. And remember that one day every knee will bow down to the King.
